Gulet charter is ideal for you if you are going on holiday with friends or family and for those who want privacy. The whole gulet is reserved for your own personal custom Blue Voyage and this might not be as expensive as you might think.
What a gulet charter costs depends on the size of the gulet, the time of the year, and the specifications of the gulet.
There are gulets from 15 m (50ft) up to 30 m (100ft). Depending on the size of your group, you can charter gulets starting from four berths up to ten cabins. For small groups chartering a tirhandil can be another option. One of the important factors is the number of double and twin cabins while choosing your gulet. If there are singles in the group sharing the same cabin, you might need twin cabins, which have two single beds.
Gulets are generally categorised on the websites of gulet charter companies as economy, standard, luxury and deluxe depending on the comfort the gulet offers and the specifications. Regardless of its category, almost every gulet has private bathroom in each cabin.
The high season for Blue Voyage is around June to September. However, weather conditions are perfect for Blue Voyage in May and October, which might be more suitable due to lower rates.
During the Blue Voyage , there are mainly two options for the meals. You can book the gulet including full board meals for an extra per person / per day charge.
Or you can choose the other option. Either you do the shopping for the Blue Voyage or the Gulet charter company does it for you and you pay the bill for the shopping. However, whether beverages can be included in the shopping list or they are sold at the yacht’s bar and are extra differs between companies or gulet owners. The crew prepare and serve the meals. Gulet charter companies generally send a form asking the preferences of the group members and then do the shopping for you, which is one of the most important factors when comparing the cost of a Blue Voyage to a hotel or B&B holiday.
Rates for the gulet charter include three to four hour cruising per day, service by the crew harbour taxes and mooring expenses in Turkish waters, use of equipment on board for some activities such as snorkelling and fishing.
40 to 50 % of the payment is made at the time of the reservation and the balance some time prior to the start of the Blue Voyage or depending on the gulet charter company or gulet owner.
