Blue Voyage

Blue Voyage has an interesting story which began in 1928 when Cevat Sakir Kabaagacli, also called Fisherman of Halicarnassos, moved to Bodrum. In 1925, the historian, translator and novel writer Cevat Sakir Kabaagacli was sent to exile to Bodrum because of an article he wrote in the magazine Resmi Hafta. For this article he was sentenced to 3 years arrest in the tower of Bodrum. But as the court of justice found out that the days in Bodrum made him happy they ordered him to come back to Istanbul in order to complete the rest of his punishment. Soon after completing his punishment in Istanbul he settled down in Bodrum and started to sail with his sailingboat and his friends to the bays of Gokova. And he called these trips Blue Voyage.

If you love the sea and you don’t want to stay in a crowded hotel, and want to enjoy the smell and the sound of the sea, Blue Voyage is an ideal holiday option for you. Sailing to the beautiful bays of the Aegean and Mediteranean Sea, swimming in the cold waters of the bays, sunbathing or reading a book far away from the noise of the holiday resorts, enjoying the meal prepared by the crew and having a drink while watching the sunset, having a nice conversion with other guests until late in the evening…

The most popular Blue Voyage routes are the bays of the Aegean and the Mediteranean Sea between Bodrum and Marmaris. But you can also sail to the Greek islands which are nearby. The captain takes you to the charming bays of the Aegaen or Mediteranean coasts which are not far away from each other so instead of spending the all day cruising you can enjoy the cool seawater and the warm sandy beach of the bays.

Cabin Charter is another option for Blue Voyage. It might help you to forget your monotonous everyday life. New faces, maybe a begin of a friendship, an experience which will be remembered as a nice memory or something which makes you looking  forward to the next summer.

Boat Charter is ideal for people who want to experience Blue Voyage with their families or friends and want to share and enjoy this experience with them. You can hire the whole boat with your friends and family and enjoy sailing to the bays of your own choice.

Boat Charter without Crew-Bareboat is another option. But if you consider this option you must have experience with boats and sailing. Since there is no crew and a captain on board, you must do all the work on the boat on your own, including preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner.  You are also free to choose the Blue Voyage route you want to sail and decide on how long you want to stay in a bay because you are the captain.
